Job summary

Sapiens is seeking an Agent Build Lead in Bengaluru to oversee day-to-day execution of the agent build programme. This role sits inside the pod structure, driving delivery rhythm, dependency management, and forward pipeline planning with a hands-on technical background.

You will own sprint cadence, maintain delivery visibility, remove blockers, and coordinate cross-pod dependencies while engaging with pod leads and product owners to mature use cases into structured briefs and planned work.

• Hands-on technical background enabling credible architecture and data decisions.
• Experience running structured delivery programmes with multiple concurrent workstreams.

Job description

Role Purpose

The Agent Build Lead owns day-to-day execution of the agent build programme. This is an operational and technical management role sitting directly inside the pod structure, responsible for delivery rhythm, dependency management, and forward pipeline planning.

What You Will Do

Programme Execution

• Own the sprint cadence across all active agent build pods running standups, sprint reviews, and blockers sessions as a consistent operating rhythm.
• Maintain a live view of delivery status across pods: what is on track, what is at risk, and what needs immediate action.
• Identify and remove blockers, technical, resource, or dependency-based without waiting for them to evolve.
• Manage cross-pod technical dependencies, ensuring integration points between agents, infrastructure, and data sources are actively tracked and resolved.
• Act as the escalation point for pod leads on delivery issues before they reach programme leadership.
• Work closely with the leads for tactical agents ensuring consistency of execution.

Pipeline Development

• Begin scoping the next wave of agents beyond the current six delivery agents identifying candidate use cases, relevant product lines, delivery sequencing, and effort estimates.
• Work with pod leads and product owners to mature use cases from ideas into structured delivery briefs ready for sprint planning.
• Maintain a prioritised pipeline backlog aligned to VCP.AI commercial and product strategy.

Technical Credibility

• Understand what is being built well enough to have genuine credibility with pod leads not just tracking status, but engaging on architecture decisions, integration challenges, and build quality.
• Bridge between technical delivery and programme governance: translate pod-level complexity into clear, accurate reporting upward.
• Support the CDAIO and CTO on technical dependency resolution where cross-functional alignment is needed.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven track record delivering AI, software, or data engineering programmes in fast-moving environments, ideally in a SaaS business.
• Hands‑on technical background: engineering, architecture, or data, sufficient to understand what pod leads are building and challenge constructively.
• Experience running structured delivery programmes with multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with agent-based AI systems, LLM tooling, or enterprise software delivery a strong advantage.
