Job summary

Essar Group in Mumbai is seeking an organized accounting professional to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain general ledger entries, and ensure accurate books.

You will handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, monthly MIS reports, expense verification, and overall financial record-keeping in a fast-paced corporate environment. This role offers exposure to end-to-end financial processes and opportunities for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and record daily financial transactions.
• Manage general ledger entries and ensure postings are correct.
• Process vendor invoices and track payments (accounts payable).
• Monitor customer balances and manage receivables for timely settlements.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense statements, and financial summaries.

• Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate books of accounts, record daily financial transactions, and manage general ledger entries.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, track payments, manage customer outstanding balances, and ensure timely settlements.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Invoicing & Billing: Prepare and verify invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and supporting documents.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense statements, cash flow reports, and financial summaries.
• Expense Management: Verify employee reimbursements, vendor bills, and company expenses against supporting documents.
