Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to develop Autosar based embedded software for Safety products used in global OEM vehicles. You will participate in the full software life cycle from requirements analysis through testing, with a focus on multicore architectures and ASPICE compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Autosar, embedded C on 16/32‑bit MCUs, and knowledge of ISO26262 safety concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop Autosar-based embedded SW for Safety products.
• Define and optimize Autosar architectures for multicore environments.
• Follow ASPICE and ISO26262 processes throughout the software lifecycle.
• Perform requirements analysis, design, coding and testing/verification.
• Configure Autosar SWCs and BSW modules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve SW issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Autosar based Embedded SW development for Safety products to be used in various global OEM vehicles.
• Define and/or optimize Autosar based SW Architectures in multicore environment
• Autosar based Embedded Software Development for Safety products following ASPICE compliance processes
• Responsible for all SW development life cycle phases
• Requirement Analysis, Design, Coding & Testing/Verification
• Perform AUTOSAR Modeling and System Configuration (SWC Compositions like Component instances, connectors)
• Setup and configure Autosar BSW Modules
• Work with various competencies in developing products and Analysis and systematic problem solving for SW reported issues
• Experience in realizing ISO26262 Technical Safety Concepts - RAM test, ROM test, Lock step, CPU test, MPU, OS configurations for multicore architectures would be big plus

Background

• B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech in any specialization with an experience of 5 -8 years’ experience
• Should have minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience
• Hands on experience in Autosar methodologies and workflows
• Sound understanding of embedded SW development using C on 16/32 bit microcontrollers
• Experience in at least one of microcontroller architectures: Renesas RH family, Tricore or PowerPC architecture
• Automotive Product Development Process knowledge (ASpice, ISO26262)
• Experience in one or more of Autosar BSW Modules stacks
• Possesses good communication skills
• Com stack (FlexRay, CAN, LIN, Ethernet), Memory Stack Diagnostic Stack, OS, Wdg, Other services
