Job summary

Aptiv is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer for AUTOSAR BSW who will own development, integration, and debugging across MCAL, BSW, RTE, and OS for automotive ECUs. The role focuses on platform stability, feature delivery, and compliance with automotive standards.

You will configure drivers, integrate stacks, analyze traces, and support automated build pipelines while following ASPICE and ISO 26262 practices. This position is located in Bengaluru, India.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded SW development using C for 16/32-bit microcontrollers (S32, Aurix, Renesas, Cypress).
• Hands-on Autosar methodologies (MCAL, BSW, RTE) and workflows.
• Device driver development experience.
• Experience with cross compilers, debuggers, and emulators.
• Exposure to CAN/LIN and diagnostic tools (CANalyzer, CANoe).
• Familiarity with ASPICE and ISO 26262 safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Configure, integrate, and validate MCAL drivers (ADC, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, GPT, DIO).
• Implement and debug BSW ComStack modules (CanIF, CanSM, CanTp, PduR, Can, Dcm, Nm).
• Configure RTE and AUTOSAR OS (OSEK/AUTOSAR OS), define tasks, ISRs, alarms, resources.
• Bring-up AUTOSAR stacks (Vector/Elektrobit/ETAS), integrate SWCs, resolve integration issues.
• Analyze bus traces, stack traces, OS runnables, memory & timing issues; root-cause defects.
• Configure DCM, DEM, and support UDS services and diagnostics.
• Manage AUTOSAR configuration using DaVinci Configurator/Developer, EB tresos.
• Develop unit/integration tests; execute HiL/SiL tests; support automated build and test pipelines.
• Adhere to ASPICE Level 2+ processes, MISRA-C, ISO 26262 safety work products.
• Prepare release notes, design docs, and configuration baselines; support audits.

Role Summary We are hiring experienced AUTOSAR engineer to own development, integration, and debugging across MCAL, BSW (ComStack), RTE, and OS for automotive ECUs. Your Background

1. 6Yrs to 8Yrs hands on Experience in embedded SW development using C for 16/32-bit micros – S32, Aurix, Renesas, Cypress etc
2. Hands on experience in Autosar methodologies (MCAL, BSW, RTE) and workflows
3. Hands on experience in device driver development.
4. Hands on experience in cross compilers, debuggers/emulators
5. Hands on experience in, Power Mode, UDS, Diagnostics, Bootloader, communication protocols – CAN/LIN & tools for the same like CANalyzer, CANoe etc
6. Experience in Verification tools - Static analysis tools, Unit Testing tools and test execution.
7. Good SW debugging skills
8. Hands on experience in handling measurement tools like Oscilloscope, Current probe, Signal generators etc
9. Exposure to Automotive standard processes- ASPICE
10. Functional safety ISO 26262 overview
