Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a seasoned packaging professional in India to lead Windows packaging and application virtualization efforts. You will work on Admin Studio/Install Shield, MSI packaging, and App-V across Windows 7/8/10 environments.

Proficiency with VMware/VirtualBox for virtual builds and Citrix AppDNA is valued. You will coordinate UAT remediation and weekly reporting, contributing to global client deployments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Admin Studio/Install Shield.
• Rich Experience in VB/WMI scripting, Batch Scripting, PowerShell scripting & PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit
• Well versed in application testing and remediation techniques for producing Windows 7/8/10 compatible applications. Tools like ACT should be known.
• Expertise with VMware Workstation/ Oracle Virtual Box to work on the Virtual Builds.
• Knowledge of Creating /Repackaging applications using various Packaging Tools like Wise or Admin Studio.
• Sound Knowledge on Windows Installer Technologies - MSI Packaging, Tables, Custom Actions, Standard Actions.
• Expertise in Application Virtualization Technologies, App-V 4.6, 5.0,5.1
• Basic knowledge of MSIX packaging
• Knowledge on creation of Merge modules, Packaging Customization.
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and client server applications.
• Good Understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows Servers, Windows 7/8/10), Registry, File systems, Services packs, Patches, installation and uninstall mechanisms.
• Knowledge on packaging for Terminal Server applications.
• Customer Coordination and proactively resolving issues in UAT environment. [Break/fix Scenarios]
• Expertise in Application Compatibility Testing and Remediation.
• Working Knowledge of Citrix AppDNA tool and understanding of issues and reports
• Should be able to track all the applications, sending weekly reports and participate in management calls.
