Job summary

Azista Space in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled Active Circuit Design Engineer to lead the design, simulation, and integration of high-frequency RF active components, including LNAs and power amplifiers.

You will own the complete lifecycle from schematic design to EM co-simulation, with GaN/GaAs tech, ADS workflows, and thermal optimization to meet stringent system link budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical/RF Engineering with RF active circuit experience.
  • Hands-on with Keysight ADS (HB, EM co-simulation) and Gerber layout.
  • Experience with GaN and GaAs active devices.
  • Thermal modeling and junction temperature analysis.
  • Strong foundation in basic communication systems and non-linearities.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and impact-driven Active Circuit Design Engineer to spearhead the design, simulation, and integration of critical active RF components. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of high-frequency circuits—from initial schematic design and non-linearity modeling to full EM co-simulation and thermal optimization.

As a core technical contributor, you will bridge hardware design and communication system performance. You will own the entire active RF lifecycle, developing LNAs, power amplifiers, mixers, and frequency converters that meet rigorous real-world specifications. Your work will directly influence system link budgets, power efficiency, and overall RF signal integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Active Component Design: Architect and design high-performance RF active devices, including LNAs, Amplifiers, Mixers, Upconverters, and Downconverters.
  • Advanced ADS Simulation: Execute rigorous non-linear and electromagnetic simulations using Keysight ADS, leveraging Harmonic Balance and Momentum co-simulation techniques.
  • RF Layout & Fabrication: Lead layout generation and simulation for complex RF circuits, including multilayer PCB Gerber simulation within ADS.
  • Semiconductor Integration: Apply deep working knowledge of GaN and GaAs technologies to optimize device performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Thermal Management & Analysis: Perform critical power tree generation, thermal modeling, and precise junction temperature calculations to ensure long-term device stability.
  • System Optimization: Analyze system non-linearities (IP3, P1dB, noise figure) to ensure designs align with broader communication system requirements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related technical field with direct experience in RF active circuit design.
  • Simulation Mastery: Hands-on proficiency with Keysight ADS, specifically Harmonic Balance, EM co-simulation (Momentum), and Gerber layout simulation.
  • Semiconductor Tech: Fundamental experience designing with GaN and GaAs active devices.
  • Thermal Analysis: Demonstrated ability in power tree generation, power dissipation modeling, and junction temperature calculations.
  • Core Fundamentals: Strong command of basic communication systems, system-level non-linearity, and fundamental electronic components.
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
  • Hands-on experience with RF laboratory testing tools (Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, Noise Figure Meters).
  • Familiarity with board-level thermal heat sink design and structural thermal constraints.
  • Knowledge of modern wireless communication standards and modulation schemes.
