Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication Engineering, or RF/Microwave Engineering.
• Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership of teams (30+ engineers) and project delivery.
• Deep RF system design knowledge up to Ku-Band and high-frequency applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture definition, development, and delivery of RF subsystems.
• Provide technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration for complex programs.
• Oversee testing lifecycle, ES S and qualification testing phases.
• Mentor large engineering teams and manage project activities and reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deep knowledge of RF basics and system design for designs currently operating upto Ku-Band
• Complete understanding on impact of RF parameters (Harmonics, IP3, Noise Figure, Gain, P1dB, VSWR etc.) on system performance. Especially domain based knowledge (Radar, EW & Milcom)
• Hands on experience on RF component selection and characterization
• Knowledge of process related to Export License and restrictions on using RF components Filter Designs
• Complete understanding of types of filters, construction, material and simulation.
• Selection of filters based on application/domain
• Detailed review of RF PCB layout and routing using tools like Allegro, Pads, Expedition
• Complete understanding of PCB Laminates/substrates, stack-up, material properties, manufacturing limitations, material availability and impact of basic design (trace width, thickness, Via dimensions, mechanical, power etc.)
• Hands on experience on RF Simulation/Analysis tools (ADS, Genesys, AWR and HFSS etc.) along with understanding of all advanced features of the tools and end to end design realization
• Hands on experience with Lab equipment like Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, Vector network analyzer, Power meter and Signal Generator
• Full ownership of the testing lifecycle to drive first-pass success across all Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Qualification Testing phases.

Mandatory Skills & Expertise:

Strong hands-on experience in:

• TR Module Design, CW/Pulsed Power Amplifier design, Synthesizer Design, Up/Down Convertor Design, Lumped and Distributed element filter design, RF component characteristics, validation & measurement techniques
• Proven experience in leading & building teams (30+ engineers)
• Manage all associated project activities including documentation, attending project reviews with customers, quality audits, managing timelines, risks, and ownership of deliverables

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication Engineering, or RF/Microwave Engineering. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred
