Job summary

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Handling day-to-day accounting activities of the factory.
• Recording and verifying the purchase, sales, expense, journal and other accounting transactions.
• Verifying vendor invoices, purchase orders, GRNs and supporting documents.
• Conducting regular bank, vendor, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinating with Stores and Purchase for inventory-related accounting.
• Preparing monthly factory expense and cost reports.
• Assisting in monthly and year-end closing of factory accounts.
• Ensuring timely booking of expenses, accruals and provisions.
• Assisting in GST, TDS and other applicable statutory compliance activities.
• Maintaining records and documents required for statutory and tax audits.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
• 510 years of relevant experience in factory / plant accounting.
• Experience in a manufacturing organisation preferred.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP / accounting software.
