Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the real estate industry.

The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting statutory compliance, and assisting with financial reporting and reconciliations.

The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software and Excel, and the ability to work closely with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
  • 2. Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
  • 3. Working knowledge of RERA-related accounting requirements and maintenance of project-wise financial records.
  • 4. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, payment processing, customer collections, and outstanding follow-ups.
  • 5. Perform regular bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • 6. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts and preparation of financial schedules.
  • 7. Support preparation of MIS reports, ageing reports, expense statements, cash flow information, and other management reports.
  • 8. Coordinate with internal teams and project teams for accounting-related documentation, approvals, and expense tracking.
  • 9. Handle accounting for real estate project-related transactions, including contractor/vendor bills, project expenses, advances, and cost allocations.
  • 10. Verify invoices, supporting documents, purchase orders, work orders, and approvals before processing payments.
  • 11. Assist in GST, TDS, professional tax, and other statutory accounting and compliance requirements.
  • 12. Support statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and provide required schedules and supporting documents.
  • 13. Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
  • 14. Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records and financial documents.
  • 15. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
  • 16. Identify accounting discrepancies and support corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • 17. Assist senior management and the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and accounting requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with experience in the real estate or construction industry preferred.

Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.

Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory accounting requirements.

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
