Job summary

Flybi Technologies Private Limited is a Bengaluru-based drone survey and geospatial company seeking an on-site accounts executive. The role reports to the CEO and centers on maintaining books, handling GST/TDS filings, payroll inputs, and financial reconciliations with our chartered accountants in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will work from our Kengeri office, adhere to deadlines, and engage with AI-enabled processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in accounts for a services or project company.
• B.Com or M.Com; CA-Inter welcome but not required.
• Hands-on with Tally, and comfortable working in Zoho Books.
• Experience filing GST and TDS returns.
• Payroll inputs, PF and Professional Tax basics.
• Working with AI tools in day-to-day accounting.

Responsibilities

• The books: daily entries, bank and ledger reconciliation, and month close by the 10th with our chartered accountants.
• Filings: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, TDS (24Q / 26Q), PF ECR and Professional Tax — prepared by you, reviewed, and filed on time.
• Monthly payroll inputs, on the 1st, every month.
• Collections: weekly follow-up on every overdue invoice, by call and mail, and an ageing report the founders can read.
• Tender finance paperwork: EMDs, bank guarantees, solvency and turnover certificates, vendor registrations — nothing missed on a technicality.
• Bank paperwork: OD/CC renewal files, BG issuance, LUT for exports.

Where we are going

Flybi is a founder-led company building a repeatable services business across steel, power, mining, cement and ports, alongside our own geospatial platform. This seat has room to shape how its function runs, and you will be measured on numbers you can see.

How we work with AI

Every department here uses AI daily and finance is no exception. We expect you to use large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to draft reconciliation workings, build and debug Excel formulas, summarise a long GST or TDS circular, turn a bank statement into a working file, and draft collection emails — and to use the AI features inside your accounting software.

The rule in finance is stricter than anywhere else in the company: AI drafts, you verify, and the source document decides. A number that goes into a filing is a number you have tied back to a ledger or a challan yourself. We are hiring someone who is fast because they use these tools and trusted because they never let one file an unchecked figure.

What you will own

You are not

A data-entry clerk who stops at vouchers, or a Controller who wants a team to run. This is a hands-on executive's seat, working directly with our chartered accountants on the judgement calls.

Location and hours

Kengeri, Bengaluru (nearest metro: Kengeri, Purple Line). Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Saturday is a full working day — not a half day, not alternate Saturdays.

This role is 100% from our Kengeri office. There is no remote, hybrid or work-from-home option, now or later. Please do not apply if you need one.

Compensation

₹3,00,000 to ₹4,00,000 per annum (CTC), aligned to experience and discussed openly on the first call. PF, attendance allowance, and a 90-day probation review against the three numbers above.

How we hire

Screening questions with your application → a 20-minute call with the CEO → a short practical exercise (a bank reconciliation and a GST/TDS working, done in our office) → a 30-minute discussion of your answers → two references including a former reporting manager or CA → offer within 48 hours. A note on the screening questions. We use AI here every day and we will hand you the tools on day one. But answer these questions from your own experience, in your own words. We check what you tell us. An answer that is not your own ends the application.

Requirements

• 2–4 years in accounts for a services or project company. B.Com or M.Com; CA-Inter welcome but not required.
• Hands-on with Tally, and comfortable working in Zoho Books.
• You have prepared and filed GST and TDS returns yourself — not only handed data to a CA.
• Payroll inputs, PF and Professional Tax basics.
• Working use of AI tools in day-to-day accounting or Excel work — you can name what you use, what it saves you, and how you check its output before it reaches a return.
• Careful with paperwork and deadlines. This role lives on dates.
• Fixed pay aligned to experience, reviewed at the 90-day mark.
• Paid AI tool subscriptions and a company that expects you to use them.
• Provident Fund; conditional monthly attendance allowance.
• A written role card with three measurable numbers, reviewed at 90 days; six-month probation.
