About the team

The Accounts team ensures financial precision across Wizzer. They manage billing, transactions, compliance, and financial reporting, ensuring smooth operations for advisors and clients. Their work is critical in maintaining transparency, regulatory compliance, and efficiency in financial workflows.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts and Financial Controller to manage our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing vendor payments, credit control, inventory discrepancies, and financial reporting, while also supporting audits and providing valuable insights to the leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and accurate tracking of customer invoices.
• Reconcile daily cash flow statements and highlight potential shortages.
• Credit Control: Evaluate customer creditworthiness and monitor credit usage.
• Create schedules for overdue collections and escalate high-risk cases to founders.
• Inventory & Loss Accounting: Reconcile inventory against system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Account for inventory losses and update values based on the latest purchase costs.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly MIS reports, P&L summaries, and cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and payroll reporting.
• Audit Coordination: Assist with internal and external audits, resolving queries, and implementing process improvements.
• Strategic Insights & Founders' Support: Recommend cost-saving initiatives and margin enhancement strategies.
• Provide financial data for business expansion and create custom reports for the founders.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CA preferred).
• 1-5 years of experience in financial control or accounting roles.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and payroll reporting.

Preferred skills

• Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, and other accounting tools.
• Expertise in Excel, MIS reporting, and financial analytics.
• Strong understanding of financial literacy, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders.
