Conversive (SMS Magic) is seeking a Financial Controller to lead accounting and compliance for a growth-stage SaaS company. You will own the end-to-end close process, ensure accurate financial reporting, and build scalable controls across Zoho and related tools.

The ideal candidate has CA with 6–7 years post-qualification experience, strong accounting fundamentals, and a process-driven mindset. This hands-on role requires ownership and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with 6–7 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience in corporate accounting roles.
• Proven ability to close books independently, handle financial reporting, and manage reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Experience leading small teams and ensuring end-to-end compliance.
• Process-driven with strong internal controls and data integrity across systems (Zoho).
• Experience in SaaS or technology company environments is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Ensure timely and accurate book closure.
• Maintain a clean and scalable chart of accounts.
• Drive discipline in accounting entries, documentation, and audit trails.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure granularity and accuracy of data to support decision-making.
• Continuously improve the quality and usability of financial reporting.
• Lead balance sheet reviews and reconciliations; drive cleanup initiatives.
• Build and enforce strong financial controls and governance.
• Oversee data integrity across systems and identify automation opportunities.
• Own statutory and tax compliances including GST and income tax; manage audits.
• Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 members.

We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead the accounting and compliance function for a growth-stage SaaS company. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information , while building strong processes and controls to support scale.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset .

Must-Have

• Qualified CA with 6–7 years of post-qualification experience

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close process

Balance Sheet & Reconciliations

• Lead balance sheet reviews and clean-up initiatives
• Ensure all accounts are fully reconciled with proper supporting
• Drive closure of long-pending items and inconsistencies

Controls & Processes

• Build and enforce strong financial controls and governance
• Establish robust accounting processes and SOPs
• Ensure data integrity across systems (Zoho and related tools)
• Identify and implement automation opportunities

Compliance & Taxation

• Own all statutory and tax compliances , including GST, income tax, and other applicable regulations
• Ensure timely filings, accuracy, and audit readiness
• Manage statutory audits and liaise with external advisors

Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of 3–4 members
• Drive a culture of accountability, attention to detail, and process discipline
• Mentor and up-skill team members
