Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled General Accountant with payroll exposure and hands-on SAP/Workday experience. You will support record-to-report activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and uphold ICoFR controls as part of the General Accounting team.

You will engage in balance sheet reconciliations, data gathering, and analysis while contributing to process improvements and cross-country standardization. A hybrid work model in India supports collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in general accounting and payroll accounting processes.
• Familiarity with SAP and Workday platforms for financial data.
• Knowledge of Cadency for controls and reconciliations.
• Proficient in balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close.
• Understanding of ICoFR-related controls and internal audits.

Each day, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing record to report data. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.The work model for the role is: {hybrid}This role is contributing to the ELBA in INDIAYou will be mainly accountable for:Performing general accounting activities, applying techniques and standards to the classification and recoding of financial transactions.Executing quality checks on financial reporting data, including fluctuations monitoring.Complying with and helping achieve Internal control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) compliance in General Accounting team for applicable templates and participating in internal control testing and preparing relevant documentation.Assisting with data gathering, data entry, and basic financial analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.Qualifications for the role :You are immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in/ you enjoy working with GA Payroll Accounting team .Ability to demonstrate your experience in / Have established skills / advanced skills / You have minimum of 4-5 years of experience in General Accounting.Should have Strong Payroll Accounting knowledge in SAP along with WORKDAY.Preparing Balance sheet account reconciliations.Should have working knowledge in Cadency (Trin tech) SAP, S4HanaShould have knowledge in Payroll accruals accounting.Performing general accounting activities and recording financial transactions.Executing accounting analyses and reports in support of finance and business leaders.Producing reports, statement of accounts, reconciliations, statements of sourcing.Multi-Tasking performance.Ready to accept New Challenges.Handling month end book closing activities.Handling Audit Quires.Recommend changes of process standards and procedures to improve the timely performance of process activities.
