ABB in Bengaluru seeks a General Accounting professional to support record to report activities, manage bank transactions, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with policies and ICoFR standards.

You will collaborate with AP, AR, GA and Intercompany teams to resolve queries, perform month-end close, GL account reconciliations, and data integrity checks, while contributing to a clean, compliant financial close process. This is an onsite/hybrid role with room to grow at ABB.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general accounting activities, including classification and recoding of financial transactions.
• Execute quality checks on financial reporting data and monitor fluctuations.
• Assist with ICoFR compliance and internal control testing preparation.
• Gather data, enter data, and perform basic financial analysis for accurate statements.
• Coordinate with AP, AR, GA and IG teams to resolve queries effectively.
• Liaise with country teams to obtain accounting details for bank transactions.

Each day, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing record to report data. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.The work model for the role is: {onsite/hybrid}.You will be mainly accountable for:Performing general accounting activities, applying techniques and standards to the classification and recoding of financial transactions.Executing quality checks on financial reporting data, including fluctuations monitoring.Complying with and helping achieve Internal control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) compliance in General Accounting team for applicable templates and participating in internal control testing and preparing relevant documentation.Assisting with data gathering, data entry, and basic financial analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)• Coordinate and get accounting details for bank transactions • • • • Process JE in books of accounts • Perform R2R monthly closing activities • Perform general ledger account reconciliation • • Possess strong knowledge of bank accounting processes, including IHB and intergroup transactions Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in AP, AR, GA, and IG teams to resolve queries effectively. Liaise with FAO country teams to obtain accounting details for bank transactions related to both IHB and external banks Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with business controllers.
