ABB is seeking a General Accounting professional to support AR/credit activities and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with accounting standards. The role involves record to report data analysis, close activities, and coordination with regional teams.

The position requires 5–9 years of experience in General Accounting with flexibility for shift timings. It is an onsite/hybrid work model with ABB’s transportation provisions for eligible locations.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 5–9 years of experience in General Accounting, BRS and Treasury Accounting.
• Flexible in working for any shift timings.

• Perform general accounting activities including classification and recoding of financial transactions.

• Coordinate with AP, AR, GA, IG teams and liaise with FAO country teams.

This Position reports to:

Team Lead - General Accounting

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support account receivables and/or credit activities in line with defined strategies, policies, and procedures. Each day, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing record to report data. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.

The work model for the role is: {onsite/hybrid}

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing general accounting activities, applying techniques and standards to the classification and recoding of financial transactions.
• Executing quality checks on financial reporting data, including fluctuations monitoring.
• Complying with and helping achieve Internal control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) compliance in General Accounting team for applicable templates and participating in internal control testing and preparing relevant documentation.
• Assisting with data gathering, data entry, and basic financial analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Coordinate and get accounting details for bank transactions.
• Process JE in books of accounts.
• Perform R2R monthly closing activities.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliation.
• Possess strong knowledge of bank accounting processes, including IHB and intergroup transactions Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in AP, AR, GA, and IG teams to resolve queries effectively. Liaise with FAO country teams to obtain accounting details for bank transactions related to both IHB and external banks Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with business controllers. • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.

5 to 9 years of experience in General Accounting, BRS, Treasury Accounting. Must be flexible in working for any shift timings.
