Job summary

Deloitte Shared Services India is seeking professionals with strong experience in end-to-end finance functions, including GL processing, reconciliations, and monthly closings. Candidates should be proficient in Ind AS/IFRS and ERP systems such as SAP and Tally.

Role involves coordinating with auditors, mentoring staff, and delivering accurate management reports on a monthly basis. Strong communication and client management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance function or managing a client’s finance function end-to-end.
• Experience reviewing and processing transactions from GL perspective, including assets, liabilities, investments, borrowings, fixed assets, and employee-related entries.
• Provide technical guidance on Ind AS / IFRS to clients.
• Exposure to reconciliation activities (bank reconciliation, customer/vendor reconciliations, tax accounting).
• Prepare monthly management reporting: balance sheet, P&L, budget vs actuals, aging analysis.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of client engagements for finance and accounting requirements; manage SLAs and KPIs and build client relationships.
• Lead deployment of latest technology solutions to improve efficiency in service delivery.
• Assist in client acquisition and team management; contribute to business development.
• Coordinate with auditors to resolve queries and prepare audit documentation.
• Ensure three-way link between Partner, professionals, and clients.
• Mentor team members to maximize contributions and outcomes.
• Run and manage monthly closing activities according to timelines.

Your work profile

• You should have good experience of working in a finance function or managing a clients finance function on an end-to-end basis
• You should have experience in reviewing and processing transactions from a GL perspective including recording / reviewing entries for assets, liabilities, investments, borrowings, fixed assets, employee related transactions etc.
• You should have experience with providing technical guidance to the client with respect to Ind AS / IFRS
• You should have good exposure on reconciliation related activities such as reconciliation of bank statements to books, customer account reconciliations, related party reconciliations, accounting of taxes, investments, borrowings etc.
• You should be able to prepare monthly management reporting statements including balance sheet, statement of profit & loss, budget vs actuals, ageing analysis for various headers etc.
• You should have good experience of data entry, master data management, accounting, journal entry, book closure and reporting in ERP. Should have practical exposure in ERP such as Tally ERP and SAP.
• You should have exposure in preparation of financial statements (preferably under Ind AS)
• You should be able to coordinate with auditors for resolution of queries, preparation of audit documentation.
• Ensure three-way link between Partner, other professionals, and clients.
• Actively mentor team members to maximize their contribution to achieve required outcomes.
• You should be able to run and manage monthly closing activities according to the pre-agreed timelines.
