About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting and administrative financial work for our electrical distribution business in Siliguri.

The candidate must have hands-on experience with Tally Prime and MS Office, particularly Excel, and should be comfortable independently handling routine accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounts and records in Tally Prime
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries
• Prepare sales and purchase invoices
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers
• Manage accounts receivable and payable
• Track outstanding payments and receipts
• Perform bank reconciliation and maintain bank records
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and records
• Prepare basic reports and MIS using MS Excel
• Assist with GST-related accounting, documentation and data when required
• Handle general office documentation and other accounting-related tasks

Requirements

• 2-7 years of relevant accounting experience preferred

• Basic understanding of GST and accounting principles
• Experience in a trading/distribution business will be an advantage

Preferred Candidate
