Job summary

Voltra Systems in Telangana, India seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to own the finance function at the plant site. You will manage end-to-end accounting, from purchase and sales to month-end close, while ensuring GST and TDS compliance.

The role requires strong Tally Prime experience and advanced Excel skills, with fluency in Telugu, Hindi, or English preferred. You will collaborate with production teams on costing and inventory, and support audits and statutory filings.

Qualifications

• 26 years of accounting experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering preferred.
• Strong command of GST and TDS principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts in Tally Prime or ERP, including purchase, sales, journal, and bank entries.
• Generate and manage GST compliance, e-invoices, and e-way bills.
• Calculate and deposit TDS/TCS and file quarterly returns; issue Form 16A.
• Manage vendor payments, customer billing, receivables and ageing reports.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and petty cash maintenance.
• Account for inventory and costing in collaboration with stores and production.
• Record job-work and outsourced processes; reconcile related-party transactions.
• Prepare monthly MIS including P&L, cash flow, margins, and budget variance.
• Support audits and month/year-end closings; maintain payroll inputs and statutory compliance.
• Keep documentation audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts in Tally Prime (or ERP): purchase, sales, journal, bank and cash entries.
• Gst knowledge is plus
• Generate e-invoices and e-way bills for dispatches and job-work movements.
• Calculate TDS and TCS, deposit them, and file quarterly returns. Issue Form 16A.
• Handle vendor payments, customer billing, receivables follow-up and ageing reports.
• Do daily bank reconciliation and maintain petty cash at the plant.
• Account for inventory (raw material, WIP, finished goods). Work with stores and production on BOM-based costing and per-order job costing.
• Account for job-work and outsourced processes, such as powder coating.
• Record and reconcile related-party and group-company transactions accurately.
• Prepare monthly MIS: P&L, cash flow, order-wise margins and budget vs actual.
• Support statutory audit, tax audit and month-end and year-end closing.
• Keep payroll inputs and PF/ESI/PT compliance records with HR or the payroll vendor.
• Keep documentation audit-ready at all times.

Requirements

• 26 years of accounting experience. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering company is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime, GST and TDS.
• Good Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Understanding of inventory accounting and costing.
• Comfortable working at a plant site and building processes in a new company.
• Telugu, Hindi and English preferred.
