Job summary

Versatile Bonds Private Limited (VBPL) is seeking an experienced Accountant to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, GST and TDS compliance, and month-end/year-end finalization. The role requires hands-on GST and TDS expertise and strong Excel for reconciliations and MIS.

The candidate should be adept at working with ERP systems (SAP B1 preferred), possess 5–6 years of accounting experience, and take ownership of assigned tasks in a manufacturing/export-oriented setup in

Qualifications

• GST and TDS hands-on work with monthly returns, ITC reconciliation, e-invoicing, and e-way bills.
• Excel proficiency for reconciliations and MIS with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables.
• ERP experience with SAP Business One or Tally and general accounting knowledge.
• 5–6 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing/export-oriented environment.
• Willingness to own tasks and coordinate with auditors and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts: journal entries, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations.
• Assist in finalization of accounts: trial balance, schedules, monthly closing.
• Prepare and file GST returns: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, ITC reconciliations, e-invoicing.
• Prepare GSTR 9/9C working papers for review.
• Handle TDS/TCS compliance, deposits and quarterly returns.
• Respond to GST and TDS notices in coordination with Finance Manager.
• Support audits and prepare MIS reconciliations.
• Process AP/AR, GST ITC checks, MSME payments within 45 days.
• Update fixed asset register and depreciation.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
• Ensure accurate data entry in ERP (SAP B1 preferred).

About the Role

We are looking for an experience Accountant to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, handle GST and TDS compliance, and support month-end/year-end finalization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in GST and TDS, good working knowledge of Excel for reconciliations and MIS, and the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts — journal entries, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, and vendor/customer account reconciliations
• Assist in finalization of accounts — trial balance, supporting schedules, and monthly/annual closing
• Prepare and file GST returns — GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B, e-invoicing, e-way bills, and follow-up on input credit mismatches
• Prepare GSTR 9/9C working papers for review and certification by the consultant/auditor
• Handle TDS/TCS compliance — deduction, deposit, quarterly return filing, and issuance of TDS certificates
• Assist in responding to GST and TDS notices/queries, in coordination with the Finance Manager and consultants
• Support statutory and internal audits — preparing audit schedules and providing information for auditor queries
• Process accounts payable/receivable — vendor invoices, GST ITC eligibility checks, reimbursements, and tracking of MSME vendor payments within the 45-day statutory timeline
• Update the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and reconciliations in Excel for management review
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry in ERP systems (SAP B1 preferred)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: B. Com / M. Com; CA-Inter (dropout or pursuing) preferred but not mandatory
• Experience: 5–6 years in accounting with hands-on GST and TDS work
• Technical Skills:
  • Working knowledge of GST — monthly returns, ITC reconciliation, e-invoicing, and e-way bills
  • Working knowledge of TDS/TCS — sections, rates, deduction, return filing, and Form 26AS / Form 168 reconciliation
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One, Tally or similar)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and the finalization process
• Soft Skills: Ownership of assigned work, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and good communication for coordinating with vendors, auditors and consultants

Good to Have

• Prior experience in a manufacturing/export-oriented company
• Exposure to GST on exports — LUT, export/SEZ supplies, and refund claims
• Exposure to SAP B1 in a live environment
• Familiarity with the Income-tax Act, 2025 changes to TDS/TCS provisions
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, basic macros) or experience building MIS templates
