Job summary

Salarpuria Properties is seeking a GST Accountant (Indirect Taxation) in Kolkata. You will manage GST compliance, prepare returns, and handle AP/AR functions within a dynamic Finance & Accounts team.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of GST/indirect tax experience, proficiency in Tally/ERP and advanced Excel, and a sharp analytical mindset to ensure accurate tax filings and audits.

Qualifications

• B.Com or M.Com graduate; CA Inter/CMA Inter preferred.
• 3–6 years of GST/Indirect Tax experience.
• Proficient in Tally/ERP and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
• Handle GST compliance, tax liability computation and ITC reconciliation.
• Manage GSTR-2A/2B reconciliations and vendor GST follow-ups.
• Oversee Accounts Payable (vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations) and Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections).
• Perform bank reconciliations and support monthly/yearly close activities.
• Generate E-Way Bills and maintain GST records.
• Respond to GST notices and coordinate with auditors/consultants.
• Assist in MIS reporting and internal/tax audits.

GST Accountant Indirect Taxation

Location: Kolkata
Department: Finance & Accounts
Experience: 3 to 6 Years
Qualification: B.Com/M.Com, CA Inter/CMA Inter preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
• GST compliance, tax liability computation, and ITC reconciliation.
• Handling GSTR-2A/2B reconciliations and vendor GST follow-ups.
• Managing Accounts Payable (vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations) and Accounts Receivable (customer invoicing, collections tracking, debtor reconciliations).
• Bank reconciliations and support in monthly and yearly closing activities.
• E-Way Bill generation and maintenance of GST records.
• Responding to GST notices and coordinating with auditors and consultants.
• Preparation of MIS reports and support in statutory, internal, and tax audits.
