Job summary

Shree Shakambari Ferro Alloys is seeking an experienced accounts professional to manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable functions in Guwahati. The role demands hands-on GST and TDS compliance, independent operation with minimal supervision, and strong proficiency in Tally/ERP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Should be based in Guwahati, Assam.
• Hands-on GST and TDS compliance are mandatory.
• Capable of independently handling the complete Accounts function with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Bank Reconciliation, Ledger Reconciliation, AP & AR.

Responsibilities

• Handle complete Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Verify vendor invoices, purchase bills, expense bills, debit/credit notes and supporting documents.
• Process and maintain vendor payments, customer receipts and outstanding statements.
• Perform regular Bank, Vendor, Customer and Ledger Reconciliations.
• Take ownership of GST compliance incl. workings, reconciliation and return filing support.
• Handle GSTR-2B reconciliation with purchase records and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage TDS calculation, deduction, payment and return filing with proper records.
• Ensure timely GST, TDS and other statutory compliance.

Role & responsibilities

• Handle complete Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Verify vendor invoices, purchase bills, expense bills, debit notes, credit notes and supporting documents.
• Process and maintain vendor payments, customer receipts and outstanding statements.
• Perform regular Bank, Vendor, Customer and Ledger Reconciliations.
• Take complete responsibility for GST compliance, including preparation of GST workings, reconciliation and return filing support.
• Handle GSTR-2B reconciliation with purchase records and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment and return filing and maintain proper TDS records.
• Ensure timely compliance with applicable GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain GST and TDS workings, challans, returns and supporting documentation.
• Maintain proper project-wise accounting records and documentation.
• Prepare project-wise MIS, expense statements, receivables, payables and outstanding reports for management.
• Perform other Accounts & Finance responsibilities as assigned by management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate must be based in Guwahati, Assam.
• Candidates currently residing in or around Guwahati will be preferred.
• Should have hands-on experience in GST and TDS compliance Mandatory.
• Should be capable of independently handling the complete Accounts function with minimal supervision.
• Strong practical knowledge of Tally/ERP, MS Excel, GST, TDS, Bank Reconciliation, Ledger Reconciliation, AP & AR.
• Experience in project accounts, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining or industrial projects will be preferred.
• Should be well-versed in GST returns, GSTR-2B reconciliation, TDS calculation, payment and return filing.
• Should be capable of coordinating independently with CA, auditors, vendors, customers, banks and management.
• Should be proactive, responsible and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet statutory and reporting deadlines.
• Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice periods will be preferred.
• The candidate should be willing to take complete ownership of the Accounts function for the company's expanding projects.
