Job summary

Awika Constructions in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced accountant to handle day-to-day bookkeeping, GST and TDS compliance, and related financial documentation for construction projects.

You will manage vendor ledgers, invoices and MIS reports while coordinating with the CA/auditor to ensure statutory compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, TDS and Income Tax.
• Good MS Excel skills, including formulas, filters, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Construction/infrastructure accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet compliance deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and Tally Prime entries.
• Manage GST filing, GST reconciliation, GSTR-2B reconciliation and vendor follow-ups.

• Maintain project-wise accounting records and assist with construction-related financial documentation.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage GST filing, GST reconciliation, GSTR-2B reconciliation, and vendor follow-ups.
• Handle TDS calculation, filing and reconciliation and assist with Income Tax compliance.
• Verify purchase invoices, expenses, vendor bills, and supporting documents.
• Maintain vendor ledgers, outstanding statements, and payment records.
• Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for:
• Fuel consumption & vehicle/machinery mileage
• Purchase Orders and purchases
• Vendor payments & outstanding
• Expenses and other MIS reports
• Coordinate with vendors for invoices, GST discrepancies, statements, and pending documents.
• Perform accurate data entry and record maintenance.
• Coordinate with the CA/auditor for statutory compliance and accounting requirements.
• Maintain project-wise accounting records and assist with construction-related financial documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, TDS and Income Tax.
• Good MS Excel skills, including formulas, filters, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
