Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education (B.Ed / D.El.Ed) or related field.
  • 2–5 years of primary school teaching experience (K–5) with early childhood pedagogy.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication with young learners and parents.
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms and LMS.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver product/curriculum demonstrations to prospective students and parents.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify learning gaps and align with program options.
  • Address parental queries on curriculum, teaching methods, and screen-time balance.
  • Lead onboarding for new students and ensure adoption of learning tools and schedules.
  • Monitor engagement and progress; serve as main academic contact for parents.
  • Conduct periodic review calls with parents to discuss progress and renewals.
  • Translate parent feedback to the academic delivery team to refine teaching strategies.
  • Maintain records of parent interactions, assessments, and feedback in CRM.

Job Title: Academic Counsellor (Demo & Post-Sales Specialist)

Department: Academic Operations & Sales

Reports To: Institutional Sales Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and articulate Academic Counsellor with a background in primary school teaching to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will bridge the gap between pedagogy and parent communication. You will be responsible for conducting engaging product demos for prospective families, guiding parents through the enrollment process, and providing ongoing post-sales academic support to ensure high student retention and satisfaction. Your classroom experience with young learners will be vital in diagnosing learning gaps, building trust with parents, and recommending tailored educational solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-energy, interactive product/curriculum demonstrations to prospective students and parents.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify student learning gaps and align them with suitable program options.
  • Address parental queries and objections regarding curriculum, teaching methodologies, and screen-time balance in a consultative, empathetic manner.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new students, ensuring seamless adoption of learning tools and schedules.
  • Monitor ongoing student engagement, attendance, and academic progress, serving as the main academic contact for parents.
  • Conduct periodic academic review calls with parents to highlight progress, address concerns, and suggest program extensions or renewals.
  • Teacher & Curriculum Alignment:
  • Translate classroom feedback and parent expectations to the academic delivery team to refine teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of parent interactions, assessments, and feedback in the internal CRM.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education (B.Ed / D.El.Ed), Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching Experience: 2–5 years of primary school teaching experience (K–5), with a strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy, phonics, and foundational literacy/numeracy.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage naturally with young children and build rapport with parents.
  • Tech-Savviness: Comfort with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and learning management software.
Preferred Attributes
  • Prior exposure to EdTech demo delivery, academic counselling, or parent-teacher coordination.
  • High emotional intelligence, patience, and a problem-solving orientation when addressing parent feedback.
