Organizational Behavior Academic Associate at ISB

Overview:

As an Academic Associate, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside world-renowned resident and visiting faculty to deliver high-quality courses and shape the learning experiences of future business leaders. Many ISB Academic Associates often pursue a Ph.D. at internationally renowned universities or business schools, or transition into teaching positions at well-known universities.

Qualifications:

1.Educational Background:

• Master’s degree required. (Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or Management
• Candidates pursuing or holding a PhD in OB, Management, or related areas are welcome to apply.
• Strong academic record demonstrating conceptual clarity in OB, HRM, Behavioral Science, and related interdisciplinary areas

2.Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, candidates with the following background or expertise will be at an advantage

• Strong understanding of OB concepts such as personality, motivation, group behavior, leadership, conflict, well-being, emotions, power & politics, culture, negotiation, and decision making.
• Exposure to applied domains such as organizational psychology, counseling, emotional intelligence, mental health, or behavioral interventions
• Ability to conduct behavioral research using SPSS, Excel, or basic statistical analysis, psychometric assessments and behavioral data interpretation, qualitative methods, case analysis, interviews, thematic coding, and literature reviews.
• Experience supporting faculty-led research, writing, or case development and assisting or teaching OB/HR courses

• Familiarity with MS Excel functions, including data sorting, VLOOKUP, filters, descriptive statistics, and chart creation.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools for managing course materials and student data are desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Course Development, Delivery and Management - Support in the setup, management, and delivery of courses, ensuring effective learning experiences. Tasks include managing in-class activities, LMS, grading assignments, providing feedback, and proctoring exams. Support for developing new material when needed - 45%
2. Student Mentoring and Tutorials - Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, offer personalized support, and assist with understanding course content. Conduct tutorials and offer targeted academic assistance. Ensure students receive timely help with their queries and develop key academic skills - 15%
3. Documentation and Audit Compliance - Ensure fulfilment of audit requirements by accurately documenting all grading, student communications, and course-related interactions. Maintain organized records to support internal audits and compliance reviews - 20%
4. Professional Development and Certification - Audit courses for certification requirements (teaching or research). Attend workshops, seminars, and peer learning sessions focused on both instructional strategies and research development. Participate in faculty-led research projects to develop research skills and gain experience, enhancing overall research competencies (subject to opportunity) - 20%
