Pixel Image India Pvt Ltd seeks a seasoned 3D Team Lead / POD Facilitator for its Pune studio. You will manage a dedicated production pod, executing high-quality Blender renders while coaching ICs on craft, processes, and cross-functionality.

You will ensure smooth workflows from brief to delivery, maintain Pixel Standard, and actively participate in client feedback cycles in English with the Pune and UK teams.

Competenze

5+ years in 3D architectural visualisation.
Advanced Blender proficiency — arch‑viz focused.
Portfolio with exterior and interior renders to a high standard.
Experience leading or mentoring a small team.
Experience with UK residential developer projects.
Degree / Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent.
Familiarity with CGI-to-CAD accuracy checking.
Working knowledge of Unreal Engine or virtual tour production.

JOB PURPOSE

The 3D Team Lead / POD Facilitator is the first-line manager for a dedicated production pod within PIIPL's arch-viz studio. This is a dual-function role: the individual is both an accomplished 3D practitioner — capable of executing and quality-checking high-quality Blender-based renders and finalised outputs — and a people-first team lead responsible for scheduling, unblocking, and developing their pod's Individual Contributors (ICs).

This role is critical to the studio's output quality. The PF ensures work flows smoothly from brief to final delivery at the 'Pixel Standard', while coaching ICs on craft, process discipline, and cross-functionality. They must be comfortable picking up client comment cycles and finalisation tasks directly where required, acting as a senior technical resource inside the pod.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan daily and 3-week detailed pod workloads; ensure no IC is overloaded or idle.
Sequence work so that AT/QC stages receive assets early enough for proper review — no last-minute submissions.
Monitor project schedules daily; maintain real-time updates on Zoho / Monday.com.
Ensure every IC starts each day with clear, briefed tasks and confirmed outputs.

2 · Quality Gatekeeping & Pixel Standard Enforcement

Act as the final quality checkpoint before any work leaves the pod.
QC all deliverables against project TDDs, checklists, and Pixel Standard references before sign-off.
Personally review finalised renders and client-comment revisions for accuracy, lighting consistency, material quality, and composition.
Shift IC culture from 'blame for mistakes' to 'quality score improvement' — proactive, solution-led, risk-aware.
Coordinate with PM on final delivery approval.

3 · Blender Production & Technical Execution

Operate at an advanced–expert level in Blender for architectural visualisation workflows: scene setup, materials (Cycles/EEVEE), lighting (HDRI, artificial), camera composition, and render output.
Execute and oversee high-quality exterior and interior renders for UK residential developers.
Set up, manage, and troubleshoot Blender project files, asset libraries, and file structures to Pixel SOP standards.
Support ICs on advanced Blender techniques: geometry nodes, modifier stacks, efficient scene management.
Stay current with Blender updates and arch-viz industry best practices; share learnings with the pod.
Own finalisation tasks within the pod: colour grading, post-processing (Photoshop / After Effects / Blender compositor), lens effects, and final image polish to client‑ready standard.
Manage client comment cycles independently for straightforward revisions; co‑ordinate with PM and ATL on complex or scope‑changing feedback.
Interpret client briefs and feedback accurately, translate them into clear IC‑level task instructions, and verify outputs against the original comment.
Maintain a client comment log per project; ensure all revisions are tracked and closed before final submission.
Apply strong attention to detail in matching renders to reference drawings, brand palettes, and client approval notes.

5 · Daily Unblocker & Stand‑Up Facilitation

Run a 15‑minute daily stand‑up by 9:30 am: confirm tasks, flag blockers, align on day's targets.
Run a 5‑minute end‑of‑day task preview with each IC to ensure next‑day readiness.
Act as first point of contact for IC queries; upscale to PM or UK team where needed.
Coordinate with IT Support immediately for hardware, storage, or connectivity blockers; keep PM informed.
Maintain the pod's Monday Board with up-to‑date task and delivery status.

6 · Training, Cross‑Functionality & SOP Discipline

Enforce strict SOP compliance: process documents, self-checking, file naming, folder structures, repository rules — targeting near‑100% compliance.
Build cross‑functional resilience within the pod so every workflow stage can be covered during absences.
Track IC progress through PQS qualification levels (Pro → Master → Expert); flag training gaps to PM.
Support onboarding of new ICs through structured task exposure and skill‑building plans.
Act as a manager, not a senior IC — own outcomes, not just tasks.
Stay available until daily tasks are checked and closed if the situation demands.
Provide weekly lightweight reports to PM: completions, delivery performance, quality scores, blockers.
Attend monthly capacity and training review with PM.
Maintain professional, constructive communication in English with both the Pune and UK teams.
