Job summary

Imperio Railing Systems invites a 3D Printing Intern to transform design ideas into physical prototypes. You will model with Rhino/SolidWorks, prep files for printing, and test parts with hands-on guidance from the team.

The role requires 6 months, in-office startup between late Oct 2026 and early Dec 2026, open to Mumbai-based Mechanical Engineering students, including women starting or restarting their careers.

Qualifications

• Full-time in-office internship for a duration of 6 months.
• Mumbai-based placement with on-site work only.
• Open to Mechanical Engineering students.
• Eligible candidates must start between 31 Oct 2026 and 5 Dec 2026.
• Women starting or restarting their careers are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine 3D models in Rhino or SolidWorks using feedback.
• Prepare files for 3D printing with proper dimensions and supports.
• Operate 3D printers and document settings and results.
• Finish printed parts and verify against CAD models.
• Use calipers to compare prototypes and record fit issues.
• Produce/update drawings in AutoCAD and visuals in 3ds Max as needed.
• Assist with simple Arduino-based tests and organize prototype files.

About the internship:

As a 3D Printing Intern at Imperio Railing Systems, you'll help turn design ideas into physical prototypes, supporting the team with careful modeling, print preparation, and hands‑on testing.

Responsibilities

1. 1. Create and refine 3D models in Rhino or SolidWorks, using project feedback to make practical design adjustments.
2. 2. Prepare files for 3D printing, checking dimensions, orientation, supports, and other settings before each build.
3. 3. Operate 3D printers under team guidance, monitor print progress, and document settings and results.
4. 4. Finish printed parts by removing supports, cleaning surfaces, and checking them against the intended dimensions.
5. 5. Use calipers and other basic tools to compare prototypes with CAD models, recording fit issues and suggested revisions.
6. 6. Produce or update supporting drawings in AutoCAD and visual references in Autodesk 3ds Max as needed.
7. 7. Assist with simple Arduino‑based tests or demonstrations, and organize prototype files and build notes for future iterations.
