Job summary

Alankaram is seeking an experienced mechanical design professional to develop accurate 3D models and production-ready drawings for a range of furniture products. You will use SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools to create comprehensive designs, BOMs, and engineering documentation that align with manufacturing capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid understanding of woodworking and joinery, and a track record of delivering precise production drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
• 25 years of experience in furniture or product design.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (experience with AutoCAD is an added advantage).
• Good understanding of furniture construction, woodworking, joinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of furniture materials, hardware, and fittings.
• Ability to create detailed production drawings with high accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
