Job summary

360 Interior Designs is seeking a talented furniture designer to create innovative concepts for residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces in Delhi. The role involves developing 2D drawings, elevations, and 3D visualizations to meet manufacturing constraints and client requirements.

The ideal candidate will understand materials and finishes, have strong AutoCAD skills, and be able to translate client needs into detailed production drawings.

Qualifications

• Proficient in furniture design principles, proportions, ergonomics and functionality.
• Strong command of AutoCAD for detailed drawings and layouts.
• Experience with 3D design/rendering software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, SolidWorks or similar).
• Knowledge of materials used in furniture (wood, MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, glass, metal, upholstery).
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings and shop drawings.
• Good sense of design, colour, materials, finishes and aesthetics.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Create innovative and functional designs for residential, commercial, office, retail, and hospitality furniture.
• Develop concepts and detailed designs for tables, chairs, sofas, beds, wardrobes, cabinets, storage units, counters, and custom furniture.
• Prepare 2D drawings, layouts, elevations, and detailed furniture drawings.
• Create 3D models and visualizations based on project requirements.
• Understand furniture dimensions, proportions, materials, finishes, and construction methods.
• Prepare designs considering manufacturing feasibility, functionality, durability, and aesthetics.
• Coordinate with the production/fabrication team to ensure designs can be manufactured accurately.
• Make design modifications based on client requirements and production feedback.
• Assist in preparing cutting details, material specifications, hardware details, and production drawings.
• Research new furniture trends, materials, finishes, and design concepts.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of furniture design principles, proportions, ergonomics, and functionality.
• Basic to good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of 3D design/rendering software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, SolidWorks, or similar will be an advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates must preferably have a background in furniture design, product design, interior design, furniture manufacturing, or a related field.
• Candidates with an internship or practical experience in a furniture manufacturing/design company will be preferred.
• Candidates with a relevant degree, diploma, or design certification can apply.
• A portfolio or sample furniture designs will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should have a genuine interest in furniture design and manufacturing.
