Job summary

Daifuku is seeking a welder to join our manufacturing team on a full-time, first shift (5:00 am – 1:30 pm), Monday to Friday. Must have at least 1 year welding experience and the ability to identify exact measurements on a tape measure.

Welders join metal parts using high heat to form permanent bonds, read blueprints, set up equipment, and ensure welds meet standards. Daifuku offers benefits and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
• Planning work by interpreting blueprints
• Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
• Selecting and setting up welding equipment
• Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
• Minimum 1 year experience in welding

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Team orientation
• Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
• Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
