Job summary

Daifuku North America in India is seeking a Material Coordinator to support the manufacturing plant, entering data into SAP, tracking issued and transferred parts, and resolving shortages to keep jobs on schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year in manufacturing, and strong computer skills with UKG/SAP exposure; you will work with multiple departments to maintain stock and ensure timely shipments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • UKG/SAP experience preferred; strong data entry and IT skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Enter data into SAP about quantities of issued and transferred parts.
  • Resolve job/segments shortage discrepancies.
  • Receive manufactured parts into stock and issue to upcoming jobs.
  • Assist in daily tasks to assure productivity and efficiency.
  • Identify parts using UKG and drawings.
  • Update Sr. Management on shortage statuses.
  • Investigate missing stock parts for work orders and sales orders.
  • Monitor and maintain a shortage list for Shipping Management.
  • Collaborate with all departments to resolve shortages and close jobs on time.
  • Inform shipping of findings to support on-time segment shipments.
  • Comply with Daifuku QMS policies and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Position Summary

The Material Coordinator performs support tasks for the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Entering data into SAP database about quantities of issued and transferred parts
  • Resolving job/segments shortage discrepancies
  • Receiving manufactured parts into stock and issue out to upcoming jobs
  • Assisting in daily tasks to assure productivity efficiency
  • Identifying parts through the use of UKG and drawings
  • Update daily Sr. Management on status of shortages on the segments
  • Investigate missing stock parts needed for work orders and sales orders
  • Monitor and keep an updated shortage list available for the Shipping Management team
  • Work with every department to resolve shortages to close job/segments in time
  • Inform shipping of any findings to help segments ship on time
  • Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
  • UKG/SAP experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including including Word and Excel

ADA Requirements:

  • Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Job Conditions: The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
