Job summary

Mynd Labs, Inc. is seeking an operations leader to own finance ops, payroll, vendor management, and compliance. You will build the hiring machine and manage Bengaluru’s on-the-ground operations, while setting up essential financial reporting for a seed-stage company.

You will serve as a trusted problem-solver for the founders, handle confidential matters with discretion, and drive end-to-end execution from contracts to calendar obligations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in startup operations, chief-of-staff, or founder-adjacent roles owning outcomes.
• Experience running payroll, negotiating vendor contracts, and meeting compliance deadlines in India.
• Spreadsheet fluency that borders on the unreasonable.
• Discretion handling compensation, legal, and personal matters.
• You finish things with concrete examples.

What you will do

• [01] Own everything operational: finance ops, payroll, vendor management, legal coordination, and the company calendar of obligations that must never be missed.
• [02] Build the hiring machine - pipelines, scheduling, candidate experience - for a team that hires slowly and cares enormously.
• [03] Run Bengaluru on-the-ground reality: the office, the registrations, the things that only exist in person.
• [04] Set up the financial reporting a serious seed-stage company should have, then keep it honest.
• [05] Be the founder's load-balancer: take ambiguous problems, return solved ones.

What we need

• [01] 4+ years in startup operations, chief-of-staff, or founder-adjacent roles where you owned outcomes.
• [02] You have run payroll, negotiated a vendor contract, and chased a compliance deadline - in India, ideally.
• [03] Spreadsheet fluency that borders on the unreasonable.
• [04] Discretion. You will see compensation, legal, and personal matters; the role only works if everyone trusts you completely.
• [05] You finish things. We will ask for specific examples of things you finished.

Nice to have

• [01] Experience with Indian company compliance (MCA, GST, TDS) specifically.
• [02] You have been through a fundraise from the inside.
• [03] You have hired for technical roles before.
