About the Company
Glomo is building cross‑border payments infrastructure for India, regulated end‑to‑end by the RBI. We move money between India and the rest of the world for individuals and businesses underserved by legacy banks. We’re growing fast, and every new line of business touches partnerships, product, compliance and finance simultaneously.
Why this role exists
The founders are starting more strategic bets than they have time to personally drive end‑to‑end. Each one needs someone who can take it from a whiteboard thesis to a shipped, revenue‑generating product. This role is the owner of those projects.
What you’ll actually do
- Define the bet. Size the opportunity, pressure‑test the thesis with data, map regulatory and operational dependencies, and translate it into a 60‑90 day plan with measurable outcomes.
- Run GTM with partnerships and sales. Stand in front of banks, card networks, distribution partners and enterprise customers; negotiate terms and close deals that unlock the vertical.
- Shape the user experience with product. Translate market feedback into product requirements, work with engineering on trade‑offs, and push back when specs are wrong.
- Stay tightly aligned with the founders on vision. Bring the founders a point of view, take their input, and move forward independently.
- Cross compliance, legal and finance. Ensure all shipping touches RBI‑regulated rails; drive early‑stage compliance while maintaining speed.
You will be measured on outcomes that show up in revenue, partnerships closed or shipped product — not on activity, decks or status reports.
How you’ll operate
- This is a high‑autonomy, high‑ambiguity role. We hand you a vertical and ask what’s worth doing.
- You execute independently with limited supervision; founders’ time with you will be measured in hours per week, not hours per day.
- Multiple strategic projects will be in flight (3‑5 at a time); keep them progressing without reminders.
- You’ll be wrong sometimes – that’s fine; we value honest decisions over stalling.
Who we’re looking for
4‑7 years of experience with a proven track record of owning outcomes.
- Ex‑founder who shut down or sold a company in the last 1–2 years and wants to operate inside one with traction.
- Top‑tier strategy consultant (McKinsey/BCG/Bain) with at least one operator stint beyond consulting.
- Senior PM or 0‑to‑1 lead from a regulated Indian fintech who has shipped a new product line.
- VC associate or investment banker (top tier, 2–4 years) who left for an operator stint and wants to transition to operations.
Experience & Skills
- Writes clearly under time pressure; decisions are made over concise memos.
- Pushes work through people who don’t report to you without creating friction.
- Has strong opinions, holds them loosely, and adapts when data changes.
- Comfortable in front of a bank partner, regulator, customer and engineer in the same day, shifting register cleanly between all four.
- Treats “I don’t know” as a starting point, not an end.
Who this is not for
- Anyone looking for a Chief of Staff role focused on calendar management.
- Career consultants or bankers who have never operated.
- Individuals who need a brief defined before they can start.
- Anyone whose LinkedIn profile lists “Founder's Office” as a stepping stone without evidence of ownership.
