Chore runs the back office for US startup founders. HR, payroll, finance and compliance operations, handled end to end, so founders can stop doing admin and build their companies.
We exist to make every startup in the world successful. The more startups that survive and thrive, the better the world we all get to live in. We work behind the scenes to help our clients win.

We're looking for a driven Operations Manager to join the team that runs our clients' back office operations, including human resources, finance, payroll and compliance.
As an Operations Manager, you work directly with US startup founders to project manage their most critical operational matters. You work alongside a Strategic Partners, who owns the relationship. You own the operations. In short: you're the point person who keeps the lights on.
If you've spent the last few years reconciling accounts, closing books or running payroll for US clients, and you're the person who catches the error nobody else saw, this role is built for you. You'll work in compliance and equity but also handle the rest of a startup's back office, including finance, compliance, and equity because founders need one person who holds the whole picture. Internally the role is called Operations Manager. The work is the same.
These responsibilities are often tactical. But tactical doesn't mean thoughtless, and as you build trusted relationships with the founders you support, the work becomes strategic too. Our best Operations Managers end up being the person a founder calls first.
We care far more about how you operate than what industry you operated in. Some of our strongest teammates came from outside startups and back office
