Job summary

Occupli is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Planner to support an embedded contract assignment at Cork, Ireland. You will develop detailed maintenance work plans, coordinate with maintenance and operations, ensure work readiness, and drive safety-compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Experience as an E&I Planner within an industrial environment.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Energy, Utilities or Process Manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings and instrumentation documentation.
• Experience developing maintenance job plans and work packs.
• CMMS familiarity; SAP PM advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed E&I maintenance work plans, including scope, labour, materials and tools.
• Plan and schedule preventive, corrective and shutdown-related maintenance activities.

Role Overview

Occupli is currently seeking an experiencedElectrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Plannerto support an embedded contract assignment within a large-scale industrial operating environment.

This role will provide additional planning support to an established maintenance and engineering function, helping ensure effective preparation, coordination and delivery of E&I maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance, engineering, operations and contractor teams to develop high-quality work plans, improve work readiness and support safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed E&I maintenance work plans, including job scope, labour requirements, materials, tools and specialist requirements.
  
• Support the planning and scheduling of preventive, corrective and shutdown-related maintenance activities.
  
• Review work requests and translate requirements into executable maintenance plans.
  
• Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure work readiness.

Requirements

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as anE&I Planner, Maintenance Planner, Electrical Planner or Instrumentation Plannerwithin an industrial environment.
  
• Experience working withinOil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Energy, Utilities or Process Manufacturingenvironments.
  
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities.
  
• Experience developing maintenance job plans and work packs.
  
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP PM experience advantageous).
  
• Ability to interpret technical documentation including P&IDs, electrical drawings and instrumentation documentation.
  
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams.
  
• Previous refinery or high-hazard process industry experience.
  
• Experience supporting turnaround/shutdown planning activities.
  
• Knowledge of permit-to-work, isolation processes and maintenance safety systems.
  
• Experience working in regulated industrial environments.
