Job summary

Crosscare, the social care agency of the Dublin Diocese, seeks a Counsellor in Finglas to work with young people aged 12-18 and support parents. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care and, where appropriate, facilitate group sessions.

The role is 28 hours per week (part-time permanent) with a pro rata salary of €43,181–€57,306. A 2-year counselling qualification and accreditation with a relevant body are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional Qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy (2 yrs Diploma) and accreditation with a relevant professional body.
• Experience with managing a caseload under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counselling to youths 12–18 years old and parental support when needed.
• Manage a caseload under supervision and work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct assessments and plan treatment in line with service needs.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups when required.
• Maintain clinical partnerships and ensure safeguarding practices.
