Yard Supervisor / Telehandler Operator

Mantis Cranes Ltd is a family‑owned, leading provider of tower cranes to the construction industry. Our fleet consists of Flat Top, Self‑Erecting and Luffing Tower Cranes along with all crane accessories. We pride ourselves on our customer service while also creating a fun and friendly working environment for all employees.

We are looking for a Yard Supervisor / Telehandler Operator based at our depot in Lismulladuff, Killygordon, Co. Donegal.

The purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth running of our busy storage yard, ensuring all crane orders are correctly loaded and dispatched and checked back in on return from hire. The role also involves assisting service engineers with routine maintenance of cranes, so some mechanical experience is an advantage.

Select responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Oversee daily operations of the yard, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Operate a telehandler to move, load, and unload materials and equipment as required.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections, ensuring accurate logging and appropriate storage.
• Supervise and assist with inventory management and stock control.
• Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth material handling.
• Conduct regular checks on equipment and machinery, reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
• Enforce health and safety standards throughout the yard.
• Maintain the appearance of equipment.
• Assist in routine maintenance of cranes, generators and accessories.
• Work outdoors in all weather.

Select qualifications and attributes:

• Valid telehandler licence.
• Mechanical knowledge and experience beneficial.
• Self‑motivated and able to work safely alone or as part of a team.
