Job summary

ICON plc is seeking an HR Shared Services Transformation Manager to lead global HRSS transformation initiatives and drive standardisation and automation across regions. You will partner with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and HR Technology to deliver scalable solutions that align with global HR standards while meeting local business needs.

The role focuses on ensuring robust governance, data quality, and efficient service delivery, including Workday HCM enhancements and self-service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in HR Shared Services, HR Operations, or HR Transformation environments.
• Proven experience leading transformation initiatives within HRSS.
• Experience of delivering process improvement initiatives within HR Shared Services.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end HR lifecycle processes.
• Demonstrated experience working with HR systems—Workday HCM knowledge is essential and ideally ServiceNow.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong programme and project management experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
• Experience creating and optimising Workday Help knowledge articles.

Responsibilities

• Drive global HR Shared Services process standardisation, documentation, data governance, and automation initiatives.
• Lead and deliver HRSS transformation programmes, including process optimisation and service delivery improvements.
• Establish robust requirements governance and ensure traceable business and technical requirements.
• Oversee solution design, build, testing, and UAT activities for high-quality delivery.
• Enhance HRSS service delivery through improved compliance and self-service capabilities.
• Support change management, training, and adoption activities for HR initiatives.
• Oversee creation of Workday Help knowledge articles and drive self-service adoption.
• Maintain governance, risk, and compliance for controlled HR Shared Services operations.
