Job summary

Blooms Hotel Temple Bar in Dublin is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Assistant to join our busy Bar/Restaurant team. You will ensure that all food and drinks are served promptly and to high standards, while upselling where possible and maintaining a customer-first attitude. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, a hands-on approach, and a strong command of English.

Weekend availability and flexibility for early/late shifts are required. Bar experience is preferable.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant experience in a similar working environment.
• Must be passionate about food & drinks.
• Must have a hands on approach.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly and service oriented manner.
• Must be aware of and adhere to prevailing legislation in relation to the service of food and drink.
• Must be able to work as part of a team in a busy Bar/Restaurant environment.
• Must be flexible in relation to business needs.
• Must have a good command of the English language.
• Must have excellent self-presentation.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Must be available to work early and late shifts.
• Bar experience is preferable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and drinks are served correctly, professionally and promptly in accordance with restaurant and bar standards.
• Upselling and anticipating guests needs in a friendly and engaging manner in order to enhance service quality and increase customer satisfaction.
• Customer is Number One attitude - Prioritizing customers at all times.
• Deal with any customer queries that may arise in a professional and efficient manner.
