Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a reliable Weekend Cook to join our team in Cork City. This part-time role involves preparing fresh, nutritious meals and keeping the kitchen running smoothly during weekend service.

You will follow menus, ensure food safety and allergens are managed, and work independently while supporting the catering team. The position includes free onsite parking and the support of a global organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking in a professional kitchen or catering environment
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements
• Good organisation and time management skills
• A reliable, responsible and flexible approach to your work
• Ability to work independently and take pride in maintaining high standards
• A friendly and respectful approach, with a focus on providing a positive experience for those you are cooking for

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious and well-balanced meals to a consistently high standard
• Follow menus and recipes while ensuring food is prepared and presented with care
• Adapt to individual dietary requirements and ensure food is prepared safely and appropriately
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety
• Ensure the kitchen, equipment and food preparation areas are kept clean, organised and ready for service
• Monitor food levels and minimise waste through effective preparation and portion control
• Work independently while also supporting the wider catering team when required
• Follow all Sodexo and client procedures and complete required food safety and hygiene checks

You’ll play an important part in creating enjoyable mealtimes, preparing food to a high standard and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly throughout the weekend.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and cook
