Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a reliable Weekend Cook in Cork City for a fixed-term part-time role. You will prepare fresh meals for weekend service, following menus and recipes, and ensure food safety and hygiene.

The position involves Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00am–3:00pm, with €16.50 per hour and free onsite parking. This is a great opportunity to develop in a global catering organisation and enjoy employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking in a professional kitchen or catering environment.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious and well-balanced meals to a consistently high standard
• Follow menus and recipes while ensuring food is prepared and presented with care
• Adapt to individual dietary requirements and ensure food is prepared safely and appropriately
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety
• Ensure the kitchen, equipment and food preparation areas are kept clean, organised and ready for service
• Monitor food levels and minimise waste through effective preparation and portion control
• Work independently while also supporting the wider catering team when required
• Help create a warm, welcoming and positive mealtime experience
• Follow all Sodexo and client procedures and complete required food safety and hygiene checks
