Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a Cook for the Little Island, Cork site on a full-time basis. The role involves preparing and presenting meals to the highest standards for clients and staff, while maintaining rigorous food safety and hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Interest or passion in cooking and progressing within a kitchen environment.
• Previous cooking experience is desirable but front of house/catering experience is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals at required times to meet company and client standards.
• Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and health and safety are maintained.
• Undertake all cleaning to the Company’s standard according to the rota for walls, floors, fixtures and fittings.
• Contribute to a positive and innovative kitchen culture.
• Bring ideas to the table and cook up new techniques.

What you'll do:

• To assist in the preparation and presentation of meals at the required times to the company's standard and client satisfaction.
• Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and health and safety are maintained
• To undertake all necessary cleaning to the Company’s standard, according to the cleaning rota, or as directed including walls (up to 6 feet), floors, fixtures & fittings, incl. canopies, equipment, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc
• Contribute to a positive and innovative kitchen culture
• Bring your ideas to the table and cook up new techniques
