Job summary

Carton House in Ireland is seeking a Weddings Specialist to join the Sales & Marketing team at our five-star resort. You will liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of Weddings, meetings and private events.

You will respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts through to the event day, and conduct site inspections showcasing our facilities. A background in hotel sales and strong negotiation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of sales experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Working knowledge of Opera / Opera Cloud.
• Some knowledge of hotel sales channels – DMCs, IDeaS, Cvent.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, negotiation and contract management skills.
• Full Flexibility with working hours required.

• Ensuring excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
• To work as part of the sales team; to contribute to & assist senior management in promoting hotel goals.
• Ensure there is fluid communication of all events to all hotel departments.
