Job summary

Carton House, a five-star resort and the first Fairmont in Ireland, invites applications for a Head Bartender to join The Carriage House dining team. You will lead beverage service, oversee bar operations, train staff and ensure each guest enjoys a memorable experience.

The role requires a real understanding of hotel operations, the ability to work on your own initiative, and excellent spoken and written English, with a structured approach to planning, quality control, and upselling

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and attend to them professionally.
• Represent Carton House's passion for customer service and ensure memorable experiences.
• Be familiar with the menu, specials, ingredients, beverages, and wine list.
• Upsell where possible and promote sales.
• Ensure that F&B products are served efficiently according to company standards.
• Carry out cash handling procedures per policy.

Key Requirements:

• A real understanding of hotel operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner.
• Represent Carton House’s passion for customer service, proactively ensuring each guest has the memorable experience expected at Carton House.
• To always be familiar with product offering (i.e. the menu, specials and ingredients, beverages on offer, wine list, etc)
• Familiarize yourself with sales and promotional activity and up sell at every possible opportunity.
• Ensure that all Food and Beverage products are served efficiently and in accordance with the Company standard of presentation.
• Carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company policy.
