Job summary

Carton House in Maynooth, Ireland, invites applications for a Weddings Specialist to join our Sales & Marketing team. You will liaise with clients to plan and deliver weddings, meetings and private events, coordinating proposals, contracts and site visits.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in hotel sales, experience with Opera Cloud, and a proven track record of hitting targets, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of sales experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Working knowledge of Opera / Opera Cloud.
• Some knowledge of hotel sales channels - DMCs, IDeaS, Cvent.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, negotiation and contract management skills.
• Full Flexibility with working hours required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of Weddings, meetings and private events.
• Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, through to the event day.
• Conduct site inspections and client presentations showcasing hotel facilities and services.
• Produce detailed function sheets for each event and coordinate with operations to exceed client expectations.
• Manage operational and administrative functions to deliver projects efficiently.
• Communicate and develop new and existing client relationships.
• Ensure excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
• Work as part of the sales team to promote hotel goals.
