Job summary

Carton House, a five-star resort and Fairmont's first property in Ireland, invites applications for a Weddings Specialist to join the Sales & Marketing team. You will liaise with clients to develop, coordinate and deliver weddings and private events, presenting facilities and services to secure contracts.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ hotel sales experience, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of sales experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Working knowledge of Opera / Opera Cloud.
• Some knowledge of hotel sales channels - DMCs, IDeaS, Cvent.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, negotiation and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of Weddings, meetings and private events.
• Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, through to the event day
• Conduct site inspections and client presentations showcasing hotel facilities and services
• Produce detailed function sheets for each event and send out in a timely fashion – collaborate with operations to ensure delivery exceeds client expectations
• Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure projects are delivered efficiently
• Communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships
• Ensure excellent customer service and quality of service at all times
• Work as part of the sales team; assist senior management in promoting hotel goals
• Ensure fluid communication of all events to all hotel departments
