Job summary

STRIVE Search is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for a water treatment project in Limerick. You will support civil works delivery, coordinate with the Project Manager, and help manage site operations while ensuring safety, quality and budget adherence. A minimum of 3 years in civil engineering and driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in civil engineering or project engineering.
• Experience in water and wastewater sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of civil engineering works on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure works meet programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Assist day-to-day management of site operations and provide cover for the Project Manager when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards and policies.
• Maintain HSQE compliance and relevant statutory requirements.
• Review drawings and technical documentation; resolve design-related issues.
• Carry out setting out and surveying using GPS and total stations; use 3D scanning as needed.
• Prepare as-built records, technical reports and project progress reports.
• Ensure construction materials and workmanship comply with drawings and specs.
• Assist with procurement and subcontractor appointments via procurement software.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers and site personnel to coordinate delivery.
• Participate in weekly site planning meetings and monitor programmes and budgets.
• Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Contribute to safety files, manuals and handover documentation.
• Support mentoring of junior staff and CPD.
