Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment is recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join a leading contractor on a major Wastewater Treatment Works project in Limerick. The role focuses on overseeing civil works, setting-out, reading drawings, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

The candidate must have a Civil Engineering degree, experience on civil projects, and strong surveying and communication skills. The position offers a competitive package and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience on civil engineering projects especially water/wastewater or heavy civils is desirable.
• Strong setting-out and surveying skills.
• Good understanding of drawings, specs and construction methods.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate civil engineering works on site.
• Setting out and checking levels, lines and dimensions.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site crews.
• Monitor progress and ensure works stay on programme.
• Assist with planning and sequencing of works.
• Carry out QA/QC inspections and maintain records.
• Liaise with Project Manager, Site Management and design teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
