Job summary

Stantec, in Ireland, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead water network design and project delivery across multiple offices. You will develop detailed designs for pumping stations and storage facilities, and prepare feasibility studies, site assessments, and tender documents.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, guiding colleagues on drawings and inputs while providing expert technical support through all project stages.

Qualifications

• A third-level degree in engineering (Level 8 minimum).
• Strong postgraduate experience in water network design.
• Strong professional and technical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for water network infrastructure, including pumping stations and storage facilities.
• Prepare feasibility studies, site assessments and technical evaluations, and create specifications and tender documents.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams; guide others in preparing project drawings.
• Provide expert technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with project management and delivery of water infrastructure projects.
