Job summary

Stantec in Ireland’s water sector is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead delivery of water and wastewater projects from concept through construction. You will oversee designs, drawings, calculations, specifications and contract documentation while mentoring junior engineers.

Based in Ireland, you will collaborate with project managers, environmental specialists, contractors and clients, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance and the development of resilient, sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 degree in Engineering (or related discipline).
• Significant post-graduate experience in water network design and delivery.
• Strong technical leadership to guide design development and reviews.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams and engaging with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and produce high-quality technical outputs including designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports and contract documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and contribute to design reviews.
• Engage with project managers, environmental specialists, contractors and clients to support effective project coordination and delivery.
• Take ownership of technical workstreams and develop leadership and client-facing experience within Ireland’s water sector.
