Job summary

Jacobs Ireland is seeking a Wastewater Modeller to play a key role in delivering major wastewater and drainage programmes across Ireland. You will work within multidisciplinary teams, developing hydraulic models and providing data‑driven solutions from feasibility through to design and construction support.

You will contribute to projects addressing urban drainage, flood risk and CSO compliance, while collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure high‑quality outcomes and regulatory

Qualifications

• Proficiency in wastewater and drainage modelling software used in Irish networks.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale water projects.
• Understanding of Irish client specifications, standards and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical delivery of projects and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure robust solutions.
• Develop, build, verify and maintain wastewater and drainage hydraulic models (InfoWorks ICM).
• Work with multidisciplinary teams on model build, validation and performance assessment.
• Undertake optioneering and develop solutions for sewer flooding and CSO compliance.
• Investigate and resolve wastewater and drainage network issues.
• Scope and manage surveys to support model updates.
• Review and manage contractor survey submissions weekly.
• Deliver hydraulic modelling studies and engineering assessments.
• Develop modelled engineering solutions to mitigate development impacts.
• Assist with cost estimates and modelling budgets; supervise site surveys as required.
• Plan, programme and coordinate project deliverables; mentor junior staff.
